We decided that we needed a mini vaca with just me, Chad and the boys so we head out to the Red River Gorge for a little camping trip. It started out really rough... we got to our campsite and layed out our tent , all of a sudden it came a huge, hard downpour! Our tent was soaked inside and out and the rain was not stopping so we gave up and spent the first night at the Red River Inn. The next morning was bright and sunny so we headed back to the campground to dry our tent out.
The rest of the camping trip was wonderful. We were right on the creek so the boys went down to explore and found that the creek was full of minnows and fish and crawfish. Their favorite thing to do was to wade into the water and see what they could catch. We also took a couple of small hikes and saw some awesome rock formations. We had pizza at Miguels and just drove around. There are so many beautiful things to see there. It was wonderful weather..low 80's with a little breeze and the sky was so blue.
